What are the timings of the event?

The main event will run from 11am-11pm. The aftershow party (available to Gold and VIP ticket holders only) will finish at 1am. Please note, the bus services will depart from the course at the end of the main event, aftershow party guests will not be able to use this return service. 

Are tickets refundable?

Tickets are not refundable or transferable.

When will the line-up be announced?

Information on the DJs playing will be announced over the next few months. 

When will I get my wristband?

You will be allocated a wristband when you produce a valid ticket at the Red or Blue entry points.

What if I lose my wristband?

The wristbands have a secure seal but if you do lose it go straight to a top-up kiosk where the staff will be able to assist.

What if I have unspent credit?

Refunds are available after the event from our refund portal (details of which will be emailed following credit purchase and will be posted on www.chelmsfordcityracecourse.com and social media channels) for a specified time period only, following the event. Each chip has a unique number on the reverse which you will need in order to claim your refund. There will be no charge for credit refunds.

How expensive are drinks?

Not as expensive as most festivals! Standard drinks will be around £5.  There is a refundable deposit of £1 for reusable drinks cups.

Will there be plenty of food?

There will be a huge range of food covering all tastes and dietary requirements.

Can I bring my own food & drink?

No. No external food or drink is permitted to be brought into the venue unless with written permission from the racecourse management. You may bring a reusable water bottle into the venue, providing it is empty on arrival. Free tap water is available on all bars.

Is there a cloakroom on site?

There are a limited number of secure lockers will be available on the site. These will be allocated on a first come, first served basis subject to availability on the day, or can be pre-purchased here.

Will there be plenty of toilets?

Toilets are within a short distance of every stage and we have enough to avoid queuing.

What time is last admission?

There will be no admission after 7pm.

Do we need to inform the racecourse if we have hired a coach?

You don’t have to, but it does help us plan the parking.

What happens if it rains?

Wear a coat! There are covered areas around the site, although we will not be able to cover all of our guests. This is an outdoor event so please dress accordingly.

Are there medical facilities on the site?

We have a hospital, medical room and two welfare areas all fully staffed by medical healthcare professionals with ambulances onsite.


Chelmsford City Racecourse operates a zero tolerance policy against any instances where groups or individuals demonstrate behaviour which is considered likely to be unacceptable to the majority and they will be ejected from the course without question. Any person found to have any illegal substances on their person, or to be under the influence of such, will be asked to leave the venue immediately with no refund of their ticket cost.

Please note, specialist detection dogs will be in attendance at this event and all attendees will be subject to a search on arrival
